Last year, Google Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro went on sale on October 13 – something that the company highlighted in its latest ad. Google then says that ‘October the 13th’ falls on a Friday – recalling the old Western culture where “Friday the 13th” is considered unlucky.
“Just because you’re a tech company that is all about science, engineering and logic doesn’t mean you shouldn’t be careful,” the ad said. It then reminds people that the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro are going on sale on October 12.
“Make your luckiest upgrade yet at the Google Store, starting on October 12th,” the company said.
