NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday invoked a popular crime series to attack Congress on the recovery of more than Rs 350 crore from businesses linked to opposition party MP Dhiraj Prasad Sahu.
The PM made the remarks in reaction to a post on X by BJP in which it shared a video showing pictures of Sahu with senior Congress leaders, including party chief Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi, and the piles of cash recovered during income tax raids on premises linked to the Rajya Sabha MP from Jharkhand.
BJP captioned the video ‘Congress presents the Money Heist‘ while the title song of the popular series plays in the background.

“In India, who needs ‘Money Heist’ fiction, when you have the Congress party, whose heists are legendary for 70 years and counting,” Modi said in his post.
‘Money Heist’ is a Spanish crime thriller known for its intricate and twisted plot.
The video also showed glimpses of Sahu walking alongside Rahul as part of the ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’. A character’s face in the Netflix series was edited in the video and replaced with the face of Rahul, who is seen diving into a huge pile of cash.
