Danny Singh, founder of House of Khalsa, a watch manufacturer in Australia, shared the heartwarming story on Friday.
Punjab: Family members, fans of Sidhu Moose Wala hold candle march on his birth anniversary in Mansa
He revealed that during Sidhu Moose Wala’s 2021 visit to London, he had placed a special order for the ‘Ocean Lion’ watch through a friend. By the time the watch was ready for delivery in London, Sidhu had already returned to India. He had promised to collect the special watch during his next visit, but fate had other plans.
“Unfortunately, fate intervened and claimed the noted singer from us. His friend in London inquired about what to do with Sidhu’s watch, and I advised him to send it back,” Danny said, bearing the weight of the loss.
In a recent touching gesture, Gurdev Singh, the show organizer for Sidhu Moose Wala, visited Australia with the heartfelt intention of delivering his most cherished watch to his family. He wanted to add a deeply personal touch to the memento by laser-printing Sidhu’s face on the watch’s dial, making it even more sentimental.
“We sent three watches, one liked by Sidhu and the other two for his parents, with Sidhu’s laser-printed faces on them. The watches were dispatched by courier, but unforeseen delays caused a longer wait. Finally, the ‘Oceanic Lion’ watch was delivered to his parents, who proudly adorned it on the wrist of his statue installed in his native village,” Danny added.
