Rahul Gandhi is likely to move into the house of late Congress leader and Delhi chief minister Sheila Dikshit. He has been staying at 10 Janpath, with his mother Sonia Gandhi, after vacating his government bungalow following his disqualification from Lok Sabha in March.
The former Congress president is said to have zeroed in on Dikshit’s East Nizamuddin house for residence-cum-office. Dikshit’s son and former MP Sandeep Dikshit was living in this property, but has now shifted to another in the same locality.
Rahul was disqualified from Lok Sabha on March 24 after a Gujarat court convicted him with a two-year sentence in a defamation case. He is set to appeal in the Supreme Court against the sentence, with his appeals having been rejected by a sessions court in Gujarat and the high court.
Rahul represented the Wayanad constituency of Kerala in Lok Sabha.
