NEW DELHI: India skipper Rohit Sharma on Tuesday entered the exclusive club, becoming the sixth Indian batter to cross the 10,000-run mark in ODIs.
Rohit achieved the feat in India’s Asia Cup second Super Four clash against Sri Lanka at R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.
The right-handed Rohit also became the second fastest batter to get to the landmark in his 241st innings. Virat Kohli sits atop the list as he attained the feat in 205 innings.

The list, led by legendary Sachin Tendulkar (18426) comprises Virat Kohli (13024), Sourav Ganguly (11363), Rahul Dravid (10889) and MS Dhoni (10773) among the Indian batters.
Sri Lanka’s Kumar Sangakkara (14234), Australian Ricky Ponting (13704), Sri Lankan Sanath Jayasuriya (13430) and Mahela Jayawardene (12650), Pakistan’s Inzamam-ul-Haq (11739), Proteas Jacques Kallis (11579) and West Indians Chris Gayle (10480) and Brian Lara (10405) are the other international legends in the 10,000-run club in the ODIs.
