S23+: Itel’s S23+ with 3D curved AMOLED display to launch under Rs 15,000

Domestic smartphone brand Itel is set to launch a new smartphone, the Itel S23+, in the Indian market. After offering multiple options in the sub-10k smartphone market, the company is now planning to expand its portfolio by entering the sub-15K segment. In June, Itel launched the S23 smartphone which sports a 6.6-inch 90Hz LCD screen. The company also launched the Plus variant of the S23 smartphone in Africa last week. The smartphone is now set to launch in India. However, the company hasn’t confirmed the launch date and price of the Indian variant Itel S23+.
Itel S23+: Key specs (African variant)
This smartphone is expected to sport a sleek design and offer an improved visual experience. According to sources, this upcoming device is expected to feature a 6.78-inch Full HD+ AMOLED 3D curved screen just like its African counterpart. This is going to be one of the key highlights of the smartphone that supports a peak brightness of 900 nits.
According to a report by GizmoChina, the African variant of the Itel S23+ features a Unisoc T616 (12nm) processor which is backed by 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The smartphone also supports a virtual RAM extension of 8GB.
For photos, the Itel S23+ houses a dual rear camera setup that includes a 50MP main camera and a 2MP depth sensor. The device with a 32MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls.
The smartphone also packs a 5000mAh battery unit that supports 18W fast charging. Itel claims that the phone’s battery can be fully charged in two hours. Itel S23+ runs the itelOS V13 skin which is based on Android 13 OS out-of-the-box.
For connectivity, the smartphone offers options like Bluetooth 5.0, 4G LTE, NFC, and Wi-Fi 5. The phone also features an in-display fingerprint sensor for biometric authentication.
