Samsung has announced the winners of the eighth edition of its pan-India campus programme Samsung E.D.G.E. The program is aimed at providing people the opportunity to showcase their business acumen, strategic thinking and leadership skills each year.
This year, over 15,000 students from 35 campuses including top B-Schools, engineering colleges, and design schools participated in the programme that witnessed an exhilarating response.Some of the country’s brightest students exhibited their talents and exchanged meaningful insights.
Ideas proposed by winning team
MICA, Ahmedabad’s Team Edge Runners got the first prize with their inventive Gen AI-based solution, designed to elevate customer engagement across diverse touchpoints in both offline and online retail settings. Their approach aims to seamlessly enhance the shopping experience, with a specific focus on personalization, preferences, and accessibility for regional audiences. The team, comprised of Aviral Agarwal, Mansi Mathur, and Sakshi Bansal, impressed the jury the most, earning them a substantial cash prize of Rs 4,50,000, Samsung’s flagship smartphones and pre-placement offers from Samsung.
Team Creative Geniuses from IIFC, Kolkata were the first runners-up. They presented a solution designed to facilitate a smooth customer journey, this team has developed an integrated platform that converges AI with the capabilities of Neurosciences. Presented by Apurv Gautam, Ruhi Rai, and Soumya Vijayshankar, their innovative approach targets three out of the five human senses – audio, visual, and touch – offering customers an immersive experience within the Samsung product ecosystem and assisting them throughout their purchasing journey. The team’s efforts were recognized with a noteworthy cash prize of Rs 3,00,000.
Team Hustlers from IIM Bangalore were the second runners-up for presenting a solution to enable a seamless customer journey from pre-sales to post-sales leveraging Gen AI-Based solution. This will help in customer acquisition as well as customer retention. It also extends towards identifying customer needs more effectively. The solution will ensure improved customer experience and enhanced productivity for the brand. Ami Jagani, Abhishek Chhattani, and Vishal Shakya won a cash prize of INR 150,000 and pre-placement offers with Samsung.
The finale event, conducted in Gurugram, was attended by J B Park, President and CEO, Samsung Southwest Asia and other senior leaders of Samsung India.

This year, the programme received an overwhelming response and participation from more students and campuses, which has been truly inspiring for us. The program spanned three months, organised in three rounds, with 15,000 teams from 35 prestigious institutions participating this year. In the ideation-focused initial round, teams collaborated to construct executive case summaries through thorough research. Following the campus round, 45 shortlisted teams progressed to the regional round, where they submitted and presented detailed solutions. Subsequently, the top 10 teams received mentorship from Samsung leaders and engaged in a National Round, culminating in the announcement of the top three winning teams.
