Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has expressed grief over the singer’s death and has said that “….his passing away is an irreparable loss to the Haryana Music Industry .”
He was getting treated for jaundice
As per reports, Raju Punjabi was being treated for jaundice for the last few weeks in a private hospital. Jaundice, characterized by yellowish skin, is a disease associated with the liver. When the liver does not work properly it produces a build-up of bilirubin, a waste material. As the amount of bilirubin increases it gives a yellowish appearance on the eyes and skin. As the disease progresses the color changes from yellow to greenish color.
The common signs of jaundice
Yellowish skin is one of the common signs of the disease. The other symptoms are dark-colored urine, pale-colored stools, itching, and yellow color in the inside of the mouth. Other health issues like fever, chills, abdominal pain, and flu are also associated with jaundice. “Jaundice is a yellowing of the skin and the whites of your eyes that results from accumulation of an intensely yellow natural substance, bilirubin. Bilirubin is contained inside red blood cells, and it is cleared out of the body in the digestive substance “bile,” which drains from the liver and gallbladder. People who get jaundice usually also have dark yellow or brown urine from extra bilirubin,” a Harvard report explains.
These are the possible causes of jaundice
Jaundice is likely to be caused by gall stone disease, excessive alcohol, cirrhosis, hepatitis, anemia and also due to the side effects of certain medications.
