NEW DELHI: The Delhi Police reviewed footage from a minimum of 350 CCTV cameras to piece together the details of the Swiss woman‘s murder case, which was revealed earlier this month.

Swiss woman found murdered in Delhi in most gruesome manner, one suspect arrested

As per a statement from a police officer, these cameras encompass the ones positioned at locations where the accused, Gurpreet Singh, took Nina Berger before committing the crime, which involved her murder and the disposal of her body outside a school in the Tilak Nagar area in western Delhi.
Prior to the tragic incident involving Berger’s death, Singh had retrieved her from outside her hotel and transported her to different locations within western Delhi.

The lifeless body of Berger, a woman in her early 30s, was discovered on October 20.
Her limbs were bound with a chain, and the murder took place inside a Santro car that Singh had purchased earlier in the same month.
According to the police official, the evidence gathered up to this point confirms Singh’s involvement in Berger’s murder and the disposal of her body.
However, the motive behind the crime remains unclear.
In their investigative efforts, they have reviewed footage from 350 CCTV cameras for route mapping.
Previously, Singh had informed the police that he murdered Berger because she rejected his marriage proposal.
Nevertheless, the police have raised suspicions that the motive behind her killing could be related to a financial dispute.
A significant sum of over Rs 2 crore in cash was seized from Singh, and he has been unable to provide a satisfactory explanation for the source of these funds.
