Grand Theft Auto or GTA 5 was launched almost 10 years ago and it is due for an update. Now, Rockstar Games is expected to announce it, but the launch details along with other details are still a mystery except for those occasional leaks and rumours.
Take-Two Interactive, earlier this year, hinted at the potential launch date of the next iteration of Rockstart’s open-world adventure title. However, the window is pretty wide and there’s no way to know for sure when it is going to happen unless the developer announces it officially.

“Looking ahead, Fiscal 2025 is a highly anticipated year for our company. For the last several years, we have been preparing our business to release an incredibly robust pipeline of projects that we believe will take our company to even greater levels of success. In Fiscal 2025, we expect to enter this new era by launching several groundbreaking titles that we believe will set new standards in our industry and enable us to achieve over $8 billion in Net Bookings and over $1 billion in Adjusted Unrestricted Operating Cash Flow. We expect to sustain this momentum by delivering even higher levels of operating results in Fiscal 2026 and beyond.”
GTA 6 launch: All we know so far
Apart from the wide launch window, there are a couple of things that we known so far about the game.
GTA 6, the highly anticipated sequel in the Grand Theft Auto series, is expected to launch on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. A PC version is likely but may not be released simultaneously with the console versions, based on Rockstar’s previous release patterns. There’s no confirmation for Switch, PS4, or Xbox One versions. In February 2022, Rockstar officially announced the game’s development, expressing a commitment to surpassing previous titles. While no specific details have been revealed, the gaming community eagerly awaits more information on this exciting project, which promises to push the boundaries of the franchise.
