Abench of Justices B R Gavai, P SNarasimha and Prashant Kumar Mishra refused the plea of the Tamil Nadu government to increase the share of Cauvery river water from 5000 to 7200 cusecs per day.
With Karnataka and Tamil Nadu governments blaming each other on the Cauvery water-shar ing dispute, the top court earlier sought a report from CWMA on whether water was being shared as per the authority’s order.
