Tech Events: Five tech events in the coming weeks to watch out for

[ad_1]

Earlier we used to see flagship events happening every month since August. Samsung would announce phones in August, September is all Apple and October was reserved for Google. The scene remains the same, it’s just that there are more events added in these three months. Samsung has launched its foldables and Apple is done with iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro launch. All eyes are now on what’s yet to come. Here are top five tech events to look forward to.
Amazon Devices and Service event
Amazon is holding its device event where the company is expected to launch its next generation of devices. The event is scheduled for September 20 at 10 am ET (7:30 pm IST) at Amazon HQ2 Campus in Arlington, Virginia.
It is an invite-only event and Amazon hasn’t shared much about it. However, the company launched Kindle Scribe and fifth-generation Echo Dot during this time last year.
Microsoft Special event
Microsoft had already announced this event in August. The company said it will be hosting a “special” event where the company is likely to unveil new Surface devices. Reports suggested that the Surface Studio 2 could be the headline act at the event.
Apart from Surface devices, Microsoft could introduce new AI capabilities in Windows 11. It must be noted that Microsoft has already held an AI event this year. The event is scheduled to take place in New York City.
Furthermore, Microsoft has also announced an event in October – just days after it will host the ‘special event’. “Join us on Oct 3 for an Exclusive OneDrive Event,” the company said in an invitation to the event, calling it “Microsoft OneDrive: The Future of File Management is Here”.
Meta Connect 2023
Just like Microsoft, Meta also announced this annual event well in advance. Meta Connect 2023 is taking place on September 27 and September 28 at Meta Headquarters in Menlo Park, California.
Historically, Meta Connect witnessed the launch of VR headsets. There have been developments in the company’s metaverse, and the company may shed some more light on them. We may also learn more about the upcoming Meta Quest 3 VR headset.
Made by Google event
Probably the one event everyone is looking forward to, the Made by Google event on October 4 will see the company launching its next generation of Pixel smartphones – Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro – along with Pixel Watch 2. The event will take place in New York City.
Samsung Developer Conference
Google and Apple have already held their developers conference in May and June, respectively. Samsung, which launched the Galaxy S23 series of smartphones in February and Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 in August, is holding its developers conference on October 5 in Moscone Center in San Francisco, California.
This is Samsung’s ninth annual Samsung Developer Conference (SDC) and it is expected to showcase new Galaxy ecosystem updates across One UI 6, SmartThings, Bixby and Tizen, among others.
