JAMMU: Three men, including two labourers, died after the vehicle they were travelling in skidded off the road and fell into a deep gorge in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kishtwar district on Friday.
The accident took place near the under-construction Kiru hydroelectric project when the driver lost control of the Camper vehicle which rolled down the gorge.
“All three occupants died on the spot. The deceased were identified as labourers Ashfaq Hussain (25) and Changu Ram (38) from Nagseni and the driver Badal Kumar (19) from Lower Bidda area,” said a police source, adding that the victims were working as labourers at the construction company.
Kishtwar SSP Khalil Ahmed Poswal said police registered a case and launched an investigation in this connection.
