Twitter rebranding as X and Elon Musk’s vision of making it an “everything app” has received mixed ‘reviews’ among users. While people are busy venting out the rebrand on Apple App Store, a report from Sensor Tower claims that things aren’t that bad for X since July 24, the day of rebranding.

Sensor Tower report claims that the app has seen a 20% week-over-week jump in installs since rebranding. This also resulted in around 4% user growth for the company.
Linda Yaccarino, X’s CEO recently claimed that the app usage increased and reached an all-time high during this period. Elon Musk also posted that the monthly users have reached an all-time high this year.

But with all these increases, there are some setbacks as well. Sensor Tower report mentions that the time spent has dropped by 7% for the week and also 6% drop in daily sessions have been noticed since the rebranding.

The market intelligence firm has also reported that since July 24, most of the reviews on the App Store on the now rebranded X listing page is 1-star. The rate increased to 50% 1-star rating in the last two weeks.
The report also notes that some reviews, the recently posted ones, also talks about all the changes Twitter has gone through since Musk’s ownership. Users have also posted reviews about their feeling over the entire rebranding of the microblogging site.
Here are some reviews as per the report
“Bring back the BIRD,”
“GIVE US BACK THE BIRD!!!”
“What is X?”
“Good app gone bad,”
