Twitter: X will soon allow users to sort posts on profiles, here’s what it means

A few days back, the Twitter bird was uncaged and was laid to rest. After renaming the app as X, saying the name change was necessary to reflect the company’s new direction, the Elon Musk-owned company is working on a new feature that will allow users to sort posts on someone’s profile.

In a screenshot shared by Andrea Conway, a designer at X, said that the feature will allow users to sort posts by ‘Most recent’, ‘Most liked’, or ‘Most engaged with’. In a reply to this tweet, Musk commented, “This will be cool”. However, Conway did not specify when the feature will roll out publicly, or whether it will be accessible to only the X Premium subscribers.

According to the screenshot shared by Conway, the ‘Sort posts by’ feature would allow users to customise the posts that are Most recent, Most like and Most engaged with.
Several users shared their thoughts on Conway’s post. When one user asked, “Sweet!! Still adding comment sorting?”, Conway replied: “yep!” In response to another X post suggesting that a time frame would be helpful, too, she replied: “baby steps bestie”.
X to allow Premium users to hide checkmark
Last week, X announced that paid subscribers can choose to hide their checkmarks on accounts. While the checkmark will be hidden on users’ profiles and posts, the checkmark might still appear in some places and some features could still reveal that they have an active subscription. Some features might not be available while the checkmark is hidden. “We will continue to evolve this feature to make it better for you,” the company added. Users can access the option to hide the checkmark from the ‘Profile customization’ section of account settings.
