NEW DELHI: UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed in Abu Dhabi hosted Prime Minister Narendra Modi for a banquet lunch in Abu Dhabi on Sunday.
The two leaders earlier held extensive talks with a focus on energy, food security, and defence.
At the banquet following the talks, PM Modi was served a specially-curated vegetarian meal.
The menu included Harees (wheat) and dates salad with local organic vegetables; grilled vegetables with masala sauce; black lentil with local Harees (wheat) served with cauliflower and carrot tandoori.

“All meals are vegetarian and prepared with vegetable oils, and contain no dairy or egg products,” read a note on the menu card for the banquet.
During his just-concluded visit to France, French President Emmanuel Macron had hosted PM Modi for a grand state banquet dinner following the Bastille Day parade, where he was served a specially curated vegetarian spread.
The Prime Minister is in Abu Dhabi for a day-long visit at the invitation of the UAE President after wrapping up his two-day tour to France.
