HYDERABAD: US-based digital transformation solutions provider UST has opened its new facility in Hyderabad that will serve as a centre for innovative research and development in emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML) and IoT.
The new facility, which has come up at the International Tech Park in the IT hub of Madhapur, is spread over 1.18 lakh sq ft and has a capacity to accommodate 2,000 employees.
UST, which started out in Hyderabad with just about 250 employees in 2018, has since grown to nearly 2,000 employees and plans to double its Hyderabad headcount to 4,000 in the next two to three years, the company said on Wednesday.
The Hyderabad centre has emerged as one of its fastest growing development centers in India alongside its dedicated software delivery and development centers in Bengaluru, Chennai, Thiruvananthapuram, Kochi, Pune, Coimbatore, Hosur, and Delhi NCR, UST added.
The new facility will house its fourth innovation lab in India after Thiruvananthapuram, Kochi and Chennai, while its new engineering lab will house a team of skilled engineers and researchers that will work with clients, partners, and academia to create innovative solutions to drive growth and create value, it added.
“This expansion will enable us to tap into the rich local talent pool as we strengthen our capabilities across various strategic domains and technologies,” said UST chief operating officer Alexander Varghese.
“Hyderabad is known globally as a hub of innovation, agility, and speed. At UST’s Hyderabad offices, we transform businesses by bringing the best characteristics of this exciting city to the work we do every day. As UST’s presence in Hyderabad continues to grow, I am proud to work alongside world-class innovators to deliver cutting-edge solutions that help our clients thrive in the digital era,” said Venkata Peram, center head – Hyderabad and senior client partner, UST.
