The former India skipper Kohli, who was rested for the second and third ODIs against West Indies, took to Instagram to share photos of the private jet. He also thanked the private jet service for arranging his flight.
“Thank you @acs_aircharter and @capt.abupatel for arranging my flight and great service too,” Kohli captioned the post.
Kohli did not get a chance to bat in the first ODI he played as the team management experimented with the batting order.
The decision to rest Kohli and skipper Rohit Sharma in the last two ODIs has drawn a lot of flak with former players expressing their displeasure in keeping them on the benches in the year of the 50-over World Cup.
Leading the team in the last two ODIs, Hardik Pandya said stalwarts Rohit and Kohli needed to be rested to help India give opportunities to youngsters ahead of the World Cup.
“Virat and Rohit are very integral part of the team. And, you know, obviously, this was very important for someone like Rutu (Ruturaj Gaikwad) to get a game or Axar (Patel) to get a game because they’ve been playing cricket for so many years, they know how exactly all these situations have been.”
