VISAKHAPATNAM: The IT giant Infosys would start its operations in the port city soon, according to officials of the company who visited the city on Wednesday. Along with IT minister Gudivada Amarnath and Regional Coordinator YV Subba Reddy, the team visited the Infosys office in IT SEZ in Madhurawada. Infosys officials revealed that they would announce the operations commencement date soon.
It is recalled that Infosys had taken the decision to start its operations from Vizag too. But its operations were delayed due to various reasons. It has set up an office on hill number 2 of IT SEZ in Madhurawada on the beach road.
Along with the IT minister, Regional Coordinator, the Infosys basic amenities wing Vice President, Global Head Neeladri Prasad Mishra, Assistant Vice President Punit Desai, Regional head Kulkarni Jayachandran, Venkatesh, and others examined the facilities in the building complex, that has around 65,000 to 75,000 sft land.
