In an unfortunate incident after stumps on day one of the fifth Ashes Test at The Oval in London, former Australia captain Ricky Ponting was hit by grapes from the stands and was left fuming during a post-match chat for Sky Sports.
An angry Ponting looked up a the stands and said: “I’ve just been hit by a grape. I wouldn’t mind finding out who that was actually.”
With Australia leading the five-match series 2-1 and on the brink of reclaiming the Ashes urn, England fans have been left disappointed, especially after rain in Manchester denied their team a chance to level the series at 2-2.
On Thursday, there was more disappointment in store for the home fans as England were bowled out for 283 in their first innings.
Australia were 61/1 in reply when the first day’s play ended.
