NEW DELHI: South Africa spinner Keshav Maharaj delivered an astonishing delivery during the World Cup match against India, leaving the batsman, the umpires, and the crowd in a state of sheer amazement at Eden Gardens on Sunday.
The left-arm spinner produced a dream delivery to clean bowled Shubman Gill in the 11th over after India opted to bat in their penultimate group match.

A brilliant delivery by Maharaj left Gill bewildered as it pitched just outside the leg stump, took a subtle turn, and managed to elude the young batting sensation, ultimately brushing the bails.
Gill was in disbelief, unsure if he had been stumped or cleanly bowled. Nevertheless, a television referral confirmed that the ball had indeed brushed the bails.
