Watch: KL Rahul begins wicket-keeping practice at NCA | Cricket News

NEW DELHI: After Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah made a much awaited return to the national team, another good news is on the cards for fans as the batter KL Rahul started practicing at full throttle at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru.

The Indian opener shared a video on Instagram in which he was seen honing his wicket-keeping skills and sweating it out in the nets with bat.

The top-ranked T20I batter Suryakumar Yadav commented on Rahul’s video, posting “Ye baaaaaat” along with the emoticon of fire.

The right-hand batter suffered a thigh injury he sustained while playing for the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in this year’s Indian Premier League (IPL 2023).
The LSG skipper Rahul injured in the match against Royal Challengers Bangalore on May 1. Chasing a ball in the outfield in the second over, he clutched it at his thigh and then limped off the field.
He underwent a successful thigh surgery in May in England and later reported at the NCA to begin his recovery.
Rahul made a solid contribution in World Test Championship (WTC) 2021-23 cycle for India. In 11 matches, he scored 636 runs at an average of 30.28. He scored two centuries and two fifties in 21 innings, with best score of 129.
