‘What he is talking is a whole load of cock and bull’: Ravi Shastri slams Hasan Raza | Cricket News

NEW DELHI: Former Pakistan cricketer Hasan Raza has been at the centre of criticism since the time he started making allegations against Team India. Raza first accused Indian pacers of getting different sets of balls from the ICC after India’s convincing 302-run victory over Sri Lanka in Mumbai.
He then shifted his focus to suggesting that the BCCI is manipulating the Decision Review System (DRS) in favour of the Indian team. This came in the aftermath of a controversial LBW decision of South Africa batter Heinrich Klaasen.

After Pakistan legend Wasim Akram and pacer Mohammed Shami voiced their anger over Raza’s bizarre remarks, former India head coach Ravi Shastri also slammed him saying next time he will say technology facilitates Ravindra Jadeja and Kuldeep Yadav.

“Good job. Good job he is there. Let him stay there. What is talking is a whole load of cock and bull. Next he will come and say when Jadeja bowls it goes at certain revolutions and when Kuldeep comes on the other side, there’s another piece of technology on the other side of the ball that makes the ball go the other way. It’s all crap,” said Shastri on the Club Prairie Fire Podcast with Adam Gilchrist and Michael Vaughan.

ICC World Cup 2023: Wasim Akram schools Hasan Raza for accusing India of using altered cricket balls

Earlier, Raza poured fuel to the conspiracy with a controversial remark on Pakistan TV.
“We are seeing that when they are batting, they bat really well and suddenly the ball starts doing things when India bowl. There have been 7-8 close DRS calls that have gone in their favour. The way Siraj and Shami were swinging the ball, it seemed like the ICC or the BCCI were giving them different and suspicious balls in the second innings. There needs to be an inspection done on the ball. There could also be an extra layer of coating on the ball for swing,” Raza had said while speaking to a channel called ABN.
Shami also urged Raza to have faith in his former Pakistani teammate, the legendary pace bowler Wasim Akram.
“Wasim bhai ne samjhaya hai explain kia tha phir bhi. Apne player, apne Wasim Akram par yakin nahi apko apna tarif karne main lage hai janab aap to just like a wow,” he said.
During a discussion on ‘A Sports’, Akram tore apart the suggestion while elaborately explaining why it is an absurd suggestion.
“I have been reading about it for the last couple of days. I want to have the same thing these guys are having, sounds like fun. Because their mind is not there. Beizzati apni toh karaani hi karaani, saadi bhi na karawo poorey duniya wich,” he said.
