Multi-asset funds have become a much talked about investment category these days. Yet another category of mutual funds that allows a balanced exposure is flexi-cap funds. As the name suggests, flexi cap funds have flexibility to allocate funds between small caps, mid caps and large caps. These are pure equity funds, similar to multi-cap funds, but in case of the latter there is a fixed allocation of 25-25-25 in small, mid and large caps.
