Neha Gupta from Siliguri in West Bengal, who was scheduled to fly to Bagdogra from Bengaluru, was handed over to the airport police.
Sources said Neha arrived at T2 to board an AirAsia flight scheduled to take off for Bagdogra at 12.10pm. “At 10.50am, the woman came for pre-departure checks at the CISF bay. A woman constable, Sushila Kumar, asked her to come into the enclosure for a pat-down but she refused to be checked for reasons unknown. She soon got into a heated argument with the constable who informed her that she must be frisked, failing which she won’t be allowed to board her flight,” said a CISF officer.
Following the argument, Neha allegedly assaulted the constable. Soon, other CISF personnel rushed in and intercepted her. She was handed over to the KIA police.
